# User Management

Effective collaboration is facilitated through Trusys's user management features, which allow administrators to control access and roles within a workspace and its projects.

## Inviting Users

An admin user can invite new users to join a workspace. This process typically involves sending an invitation to the user's email address.

* **Project-Specific Access:**\
  When inviting a user, an admin can grant access to selected projects within that workspace. This granular control ensures that users only have access to the resources relevant to their responsibilities.

* **Assigning Roles:**\
  Trusys supports different user roles to define levels of access and permissions:

**Admin:** Has full control over the workspace and its projects, including creating projects, inviting users, modifying settings, and overseeing all AI assurance activities.

* Manage users (invite, edit, remove).
* Create, edit, and delete projects & applications.
* Configure monitoring, alerts, and evaluations.
* Access and download all reports.
* Change organization-level settings.

**Member:** Has restricted access, allowing them to view and interact with data and evaluations in projects they have access to, but cannot change core settings or invite new users.

* Create and run functional/security evaluations (test runs, security runs).
* Manage prompt libraries and datasets.
* View reports and monitoring dashboards.
* Cannot create or delete projects/applications.
* Cannot configure alerts or monitoring.
* Cannot invite/remove users.

**Reviewer:** Has restricted access, allowing them to view and run evaluations and review evaluations in a project, but cannot change core settings or invite new users.

* View projects, applications, runs, datasets, and prompt libraries.
* Access monitoring dashboards.
* Download reports.
* Cannot create, edit, or delete any entity.
* No access to user management.

**Reader:** Readers have high-level, read-only access designed for stakeholders who need visibility into outcomes without exposure to sensitive or raw data.

* View high-level dashboards and summary metrics
* Access aggregated insights and executive-level reports
* Download summary reports (no raw data)
* Cannot view raw prompts, responses, or evaluation details
* No access to traces, sessions, or log-level data
* Cannot run evaluations or security tests
* Cannot create, edit, or delete any entity
* No access to user management or configuration settings

## Invitation Handling

When a user is invited to a workspace or project:

* If already part of a workspace or have previously created one, the invitation appears in their **Notifications** section within the Trusys platform.
* If a new user or without an existing workspace, the invitation displays prominently on the **landing page** upon their next login.

This role-based access control ensures data security, operational integrity, and streamlined collaborative workflows within the Trusys platform.
